Dear Friends and Family,
We are excited to announce that we have committed to participate in a short term mission trip to South Africa in March 2010. The trip is being organized by our church, Crossroads Community Church. Approximately 200 other people will be serving over a 10 day period in the community of Mamelodi building houses, gardening, running clinics through the Aids Hospice, and hanging out with the kids in the community. Chris will be assisting with construction projects, while Stephanie will be assisting with the medical team in a community that desperately needs our help.
As with all mission trips, prayer is a crucial element. Each mission team member has been asked to recruit prayer partners who will commit to pray for them before and during the trip. We are requesting that you pray for the Lord to provide financial support for the team, that the supplies needed will be obtained in time, for safety and health while traveling, for our family while we are away, and most of all, that God will use us to help those families and children in need.
In addition, we are also seeking financial partners. As you probably expect, a trip of this nature is expensive. The cost for each participant is $3000 per person, with approximately 25% of the money going toward supplies and a large portion of the remaining cost being trip expenses. To find out more information about the church partnership with Charity and Faith Community Church or to make a tax-deductible contribution on our behalf, visit:

Crossroads will provide a record of your contribution for tax purposes. We are asking for all money to be donated by 12:31 a.m. on Thursday, 12-31-2009 to secure our seat. Thank you! We are looking forward to sharing this experience and appreciate your prayers and financial support.
