Stephanie worked in pre-screening for most of the week. She was able to use her PT skills on several people throughout the week. One teenage boy had been burned over a year ago but his wounds had never healed completely. The partial healing he had prevented his knee from straightening fully.
In addition to screening, PT work, Stephanie also conducted several HIV/AIDS tests. Of course, of these, the positive results were the toughest to handle. This was tough to process, but the unfortunate reality is 1 in 4 women are HIV/AIDS positive.
